Procedure
I. Introduction
        Greeting.
T. Stand up, please. Good morning, children
Ps. Good morning. How are you?
T. Fine, thank you.
Ps. These smiles for you.
T. Sit down.
Today we’ll speak about clothes and weather and do the tasks to prepare for the test.
        Warming- up.
T.   Solve the riddles.
1. You wear them on your feet in winter
2. You put it on your head.
3. You wear them when you sleep.
4. Girls wear it on the beach.
5. You put it around your neck.
6. You wear them on your feet  at home.
II. The main part
       Vocabulary Drills.

-1-
  1).Game
Now I want to see whether you know the names of clothes. I choose a letter. Each person, in turn, gives examples of the word (using the topical vocabulary) that
begins with that letter. When you can’t say a word you are out of the game.
e.g. Say the words beginning with the letter “S” (P1. Shirt.  P2. Skirt.  P3. Shorts…)
     2). Game.
T. Dima and Roman, go to the blackboard. I’ll show Dima all of cards (or presentations) with clothes, I’ll show Roman all of cards with weather in turn. Who will name all of them is a winner. Let’s start.
     3). Like, dislike, hate.
T. Of course, at home you’ve got a lot of clothes to wear but there are things you like and some things you dislike. Tell what clothes you like, don’t like or hate to wear and why. But first let’s review some phrases we need ( on board).
I like to feel comfortable in it.
I don’t feel comfortable in it.
                 I want to look wonderful.
                 It’s very popular this year.
                 It goes out of fashion.
T.   Begin with words:
                      I like to wear…
                      I don’t like to wear…
                      I hate to wear…
e.g. P1. I like to wear my new dress because I want to look wonderful.
     4). Unscramble  the words.
T. I see you wardrobes are full of clothes. Now look at the blackboard and say what clothes are in Ben’s wardrobe. But first you must unscramble the words. (on  board)

-2-
  orserstu     (trousers)        kejtac (jacket)
  nejas (jeans)                     tisu (suit)
  ohssrt (shorts)                  acto (coat)
  ewarset (sweater)             fracs (scarf)
   Role- play
T. And now we’ll make a police station. One person has a problem. Vova, come
here. Your sister is lost. You come to the police station and ask them to find the girl. This is a picture of your sister. Don’t show it to everybody. And all the others are detectives. I’ll divide your police station on two departments. Your task is to ask questions and to get information about girl’s appearance and clothes. Make some notes. (Pl – Cl, pupil is standing in the middle of the class)
Cl. How old is the girl? (PL. She is about 5.)
Cl. What colour of her hair? (Pl. Her hair is fair.)
Cl. What has she got on? (Pl. She has got a skirt on.) etc.
T.   Now you must draw a picture of the girl using your notes. A kind of photo-fit. Each group draws one picture. (Pupils are drawing with coloured pencils.)
      T. Show you pictures. Whose picture is more realistic? Now take your pictures and find the girl you looking for. On the blackboard  you can see different pictures of girls. The representatives from each group come to the board and try to find the missing girl. The winner must prove that it’s  Vova’s sister.
           Listening and reading
 T. Listen and read, then act out the dialogue in pairs.
Jane: Bye, mum!
Mother: Jane, stop Hey, what are you wearing?
Jane: Well, I am wearing my favourite dress and shoes…
Mother: Oh, dear, look! It is raining today.
              Better put your raincoat on.
-3-
Jane: Oh, no… The weather is really bad. Mum, give me my green boots, please.
Mother: Take your umbrella, Jane!
Jane: Thank you, mum!
          Writing (small groups)
T. Remember the words of clothes and write them down in the correct column:
1. It is cold and snowing.
2. It is cool.
3. It is sunny and hot.
4.     It is raining.
III. Summing up
       Homework
T.   Write what your mother/sister likes (dislikes, hates) to wear and why.
             Summary
